Eric Timmis

Senior Associate & Director, Construction Training

Eric Timmis received a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham in England and became a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 1997. He combines broad experience in hands-on project management, civil and structural design work, value analysis facilitation, and delivery of numerous training and development workshops.

Eric began his career as a civil engineer at Costain Civil Engineering (U.K.) Ltd. in London , England . He went on to hold numerous project management positions for this and various other companies in the U.K., the Middle East, Nassau, Bahamas, and New York City .

Eric managed projects that varied greatly in scope from luxury hotel and casino construction to submerged offshore berthing structures and public transportation subway systems. Since 1988, he has focused on consulting, training and development with Primavera Systems, Inc., Bosch Brakes, Ford Motor, Eaton Corporation, Regional Public Transportation Authority ( Phoenix , AZ ), and the Departments of Transportation for the State of Arizona and the City of Tucson .

At the request of Ford Motor Co., Eric consulted with Ford of Europe on their Value Analysis program for in-house and supplier community associates. His consulting and training workshops identified millions of dollars worth of product cost and resulted in savings and functional enhancements.

In 1995 Eric began working with Scott Sedam, founder of TrueNorth Development. He helped design and facilitate a comprehensive, two-week Certified Quality Advisor training course to a broad population of homebuilders across North America. Eric and co-author, the late Douglas C. Campbell, wrote TrueNorth’s three-module Construction Management Training series, which is now used by many leading builders. Eric currently works with a broad array of homebuilders across the country and. most recently, Australia, implementing superior practices for running job sites, managing quality, and partnering with suppliers and trades.

Residing in Arizona, Eric pursues his loves of soccer, golf and music. He is married to Maria and has two children, Ana and Bryn. Their favorite place to vacation is Hanalei on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai .

Eric is currently developing his ability to personally coach individuals in life and business. His favorite business tool is his cell phone that seemingly contains his whole life history.
